99 Suns
This project is an outcome from my art science virtual residency 'Watching the Sun' at Mayes Creative last December 2020. I have started to investigate what colour is the Sun in reality.
Scientists view the sun in different wavelengths from radio to gamma rays, because we can see only light in the visible range of the spectrum they give false colour to these images, which means that all this beautiful scientific – astronomical images are misleading.
In reality the colour doesn’t exist either. The colour only exist in our mind through the interpretation of light. . I printed 99 photo etchings in different colours and then digitally combined into digital collage.
